Emissions

Workplace health and safety legislation under Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments requires employers to assess the risk of exposure for their employees. In particular, it may be necessary to evaluate exposure to specific types of substances used during the production cycle, from inhalable/respirable dusts to more specific chemical molecules, without overlooking the risk of exposure to biological agents.
Through personal and/or environmental sampling, Gem Chimica laboratory is able to support clients in verifying compliance with occupational exposure limits, as required by UNI EN 689:2019.
With regard to stack-channelled emissions, we are able to carry out field measurements of the parameters specifically required in your emissions authorisation, whether site-specific (AUA) or regulated by general authorisations (AVG).

With the publication of Legislative Decree 101/2020 and subsequent amendments, the definition of “priority municipality” was introduced, referring to areas where it is mandatory to monitor Radon concentrations not only in underground premises, but also in semi-underground and ground-floor spaces. In this context, GEM CHIMICA offers a comprehensive RADON monitoring service to ensure the safety of your business. Our service includes:
- Personalised assessment: Based on your company’s floor plan, we calculate the number of dosimeters required for accurate monitoring.
- Six-monthly replacement: We replace dosimeters every six months to ensure consistent and reliable measurements.
- Laboratory analysis: We collaborate with a radiometric laboratory recognised by the Ministry for the precise determination of Radon concentrations.
